Metro item no longer on the Council agenda.

Council to ban touch-and-goes.


If you planned to attend the City Council meeting on Tuesday the 24th to speak in support of Metro’s C line extension to Torrance, you now have the night off.


The item was dropped from the agenda because Metro is no longer deciding on the route at its meeting two days later. Its agenda item has been moved to January. I will alert you when Torrance reschedules its discussion.


Update: At its Tuesday the 17th meeting, the Council banned touch and goes. The vote was 5 to 0 with Mayor George Chen absent and District 4’s Sharon Kalani abstaining.


I’m out of town, but on my return soon, I’ll explain the wrinkles between the vote and the ban going into effect.
